Fog Forest Gallery: Atlantic Canadian Artists (June 17-July 26)

Fog Forest Gallery has been dedicated to the exhibition and sale of original artworks by Canadian artists and artisans since 1984.

This multi-media exhibition features the work of the many talented artists represented by Fog Forest Gallery. Included in this exhibition are paintings, hand-made art prints, photography, sculpture and fine craft. This exhibition continues until July 26, 2008

Marine Heritage Walk

Take a 60 minute guided tour of Sackville's captains' corner; learn about local ship-building history and glimpse our ghost seaport! Tours are given daily from June 24th until August at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm starting at Boultenhouse Heritage Centre, 29 Queens Road. For additional information contact 506-536-2541.

Canada Day Celebrations

Canada Day Celebrations begin at the Bandstand Park at 1pm with the traditional flag raising ceremonies. At 1:20 pm enjoy local entertainment by Del Wheaton & Friends, Canada Day cake, BBQs, tennis games, and tons of fun activities for kids. At 2:30pm Science East will take the bandstand stage with some fascinating science adventures that will be appreciated by all ages.

Then at 5pm celebrate Sackville as a Cultural Capital of Canada with a free outdoor concert on Bridge Street. Entertainment begins with the Sackville Highland Dancers, followed at 5:15 by Naomi Doncaster and Kyle Legere. At 6:00 pm, internationally acclaimed Celtic band, The Cottars will be performing.

Costumed characters, BBQs and other vendors will also be on hand to create a festival atmosphere downtown.

Rain location: Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre. All are invited to attend!

At 8:00 pm, Uh!Oh! Canada at Live Bait Theatre, 87 Main Street.

Canada Day Multi-K Run

Canada Day Multi-K Run, beginning at 1:00 pm at the Bandstand on Main Street. Registration is mandatory and begins at 12:15 pm. Please wear red and white and show your pride in this fun run for all ages. There are 4, 7 and 10 km loops of the Waterfowl Park. All are invited to participate.

The Cotters In Concert

Musical group The Cotters will perform in concert, on stage, Bridge Street (between Main Street & Lorne Street), at 6:00pm on July 1st. Also performing, beginning at 5:00 pm, will be Naomi Doncaster & Kyle Legere, and Sackville Highland Dancers. Free
