Part of the Marsh Jazz Blues World Music Fest - the Festival By The Marsh presents the world reknowned Black Umfolosi. Hailing from Zimbabwe, Black Umfolosi have made an international reputation for themselves, not only for their music, but for their dance as well. Both their music and dance is taken from traditional and modern. African rhythms and harmonies sit side by side with more gosple influenced sounds. Similarly with the dancing, tribal dance sits alongside the newer tradition of gumboot dancing. Venue: Brunton Auditorium, 7:00pm. Cost is $15.00.
