Communities in Bloom

Sackville New Brunswick Awarded Five Blooms at the National Communities in Bloom Awards Ceremony.

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of the community, Sackville was awarded 5 blooms in the 5001-10000 category in the National Communities in Bloom program.

Sackville in Bloom Committee Chair, Councilor Virgil Hammock says Participating in this every year just makes such a huge difference in the look of our community and the pride in our community. It's the people of the community who make this work. The National judges had the following to say about Sackville in their report:

  • Sackville is a warm and welcoming community
  • Sackville was a clean tidy town with no noticeable graffiti, vandalism or litter
  • There were many well-done floral displays in town, great hanging baskets lined the streets and there were nice planters under the entrance signs.

The Sackville Communities in Bloom committee created two newsletters for residents in 2007.
