In partnership with CN, Tree Canada, and Communities in Bloom, the Town of Sackville will be holding a project launch event and community BBQ on October 12, 2016 to recognize a $25,000 matching grant from the Canadian National (CN) EcoConnexions From the Ground Up Program. The event will get underway at 11am at Town Hall with comments from the partners and elected officials, and will be followed by a ceremonial tree plant and free community BBQ. Everyone is invited to this celebration.
The project and grant, in support of the Town’s Urban Forest Revitalization Project, will allow the Town to plant 120 new trees in our community in 2016. The Town will be matching the grant, providing $50,000 towards a restored tree canopy in the Town of Sackville.
The rain location for this event is inside Town Hall.
