Sackville Kite Experience Day and Kite Making Workshop

 
To celebrate Canada 150+ and the completion of the TransCanada Trail, the Town of Sackville will be holding a Kite Making Workshop as well as a Sackville Kite Day Experience Day and presentating the play “A Complete History of Canada Since Confederation”.
The Kite Making Workshop will be held at the Sackville United Church on the corner of Bridge and Main St from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, August 25. Admission is free and light snacks will be provided, but kite making materials are limited. Participants can drop by anytime between 6 pm and 8 pm.
The Kite Experience will be held between 2 pm and 4 pm on August 26. It will take place on the TranCanada Trail in the Sackville Waterfowl Park on the portion on the old PEI Railway rail bed (there will be signs in the Park), and at the Visitor Information Centre parking lot (at 34 Mallard Dr). The play will be presented at 2 pm at the Sackville Visitor Centre, and at 3 pm at the Doncaster Bridge in the Park. People are invited to bring their kites, and some kites will be available for public use. Professional kites flyers will also be on hand.
