Town Completes Hiring Process for Management Position

SACKVILLE, NB – The Town of Sackville has hired Kieran Miller as their new Senior Manager of Corporate Projects. Miller will commence her new role on November 16, 2020.

Miller has over seven years of municipal government experience with the City of Fredericton, having served as a community planner in the Planning and Development Services Department. She has worked with a variety of stakeholders on development applications and municipal planning policies, has diverse experience with community engagement and working with multi-disciplinary teams. Kieran also has spent time in the private sector working as an Environmental Planner in St. John’s, NL.

“I’m very pleased to have such a competent candidate joining our team” said CAO Jamie Burke. “Kieran is a natural collaborator and her experience with project management and public engagement will be a significant asset to our organization.”

Miller was hired by a unanimous vote of Council at the October 19, 2020 Special Council Meeting following a competitive and extensive search.

Kieran Miller was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Allison University and a Masters of Planning degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She also has a variety of other certificates and training, including a certificate from the International Association for Public Participation. Kieran is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Atlantic Planners Institute.

When not enjoying her time in municipal government, Kieran can be found camping, hiking or on the rugby pitch. Kieran is the Secretary of the Loyalist Rugby Club in Fredericton and has been a former Assistant Coach with the University of New Brunswick Women’s Rugby Team. We look forward to welcoming Kieran, and her dogs Darby and River, to Sackville.
