Horizon Health is opening new, temporary COVID-19 Assessment Centres in Sussex, Sackville and Perth-Andover.
The Sackville site will be located at the Tantramar Civic Centre, 182 Main St. This site will begin testing patients for COVID-19 tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 26.
Both the Perth-Andover (Perth-Andover Baptist Church) and Sussex (Gateway Mall) sites began seeing patients over the last few days, and are running well.
These new, temporary locations will allow Horizon to increase capacity for COVID-19 assessments and make it easier for residents of surrounding rural communities to get tested.
Hours of operation at each location will be based on need, and sites will remain in place as long as there is sufficient demand for this service.
Reminder: Like all other COVID-19 Assessment Centres in New Brunswick, these new sites will be by appointment only.
When requesting an appointment through www.gnb.ca/coronavirus or Tele-Care 811, residents of the surrounding areas of these temporary sites should choose the permanent site as their preferred site (i.e. Moncton for Zone 1; Saint John for Zone 2; Hartland for the Upper River Valley area of Zone 3). When they receive a call to book their appointment, they will be offered testing at the location nearest to them.
