SACKVILLE, NB – The Town of Sackville was recently approached by the Vitalité Health Network, in cooperation with Horizon Health and the Province of New Brunswick, to use the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre as a mass vaccination facility opening this spring.
After visiting and considering several sites in Sackville, Vitalité determined that the Civic Centre was their best option. There were discussions about extending the ice season, however the vaccination clinic requires the ice to come out on March 28th. Staff have reached out to rink user groups and thank them for their support and understanding.
We are excited to know that Sackville was made a priority to host a vaccination clinic, and by hosting this clinic we will be able to make Sackville an even safer place to live that much faster. We are happy to accommodate Vitalité in this important step towards eradicating the Covid-19 virus.
All of these vaccination discussions have taken place very quickly and we are expecting Vitalité, in coordination with their other stakeholders, to release information on the vaccination centre in the coming days.
