We have residents with ties to Ukraine here in Sackville, and they are organizing donations from the community to send home to support those affected by the current Russian invasion. Suggested items are listed below.
Donations can be dropped off at the second floor reception area of Town Hall from March 7-11 between 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Medications and medical supplies:
- Over the counter medications (eg. Pain killers, Diarrhea medicines, Anti-bacterial ointment, Anti-inflammatories)
- Medical supplies (eg. Bandages, Alcohol wipes, Gauze, Elastic bandages, Slings, Insulin sensors, Disposable gloves, Masks, Slings)
Food:
- Canned food/non-perishable items (eg. Cereal, Instant Coffee, Tea, Chocolate bars, Baby formula)
Clothing
- Warm jackets, Thermals, Warm socks, Shoes/Boots, Hats/Scarves/Mittens
Other:
- Electrical (eg. Power banks, Flashlights, Extension Cords, Lanterns)
- Bedding (eg. Sleeping bags, Blankets, Mats, Pillows, Towels)
- Toiletries (eg. Shampoo, Razors, Soap, Lotion, Diapers, Tampons/Bads, Toilet paper, Tooth brush/paste)
- Other (eg. Adhesive tape, Candles, Garbage Bags, Empty bags {for sand}, Paper/Pens, Plastic cutlery/dishes)
