Moneris Strengthens its Commitment to Tantramar.
Council approves contributions from Moneris
SACKVILLE, NB – At the Regular Meeting of Council on August 8th, council approved projects as recommended by the Department of Active Living & Culture as a result of a financial contribution from Moneris Solutions Corporation (‘Moneris’).
Moneris has pledged $15,000 to the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre for the purchase of new Spartan Fitness exercise equipment. This includes two commercial treadmills, one elliptical, and one stationary bike. This enhancement aims to allow family members the ability to exercise while their children practice or play games in the rink, further promoting health and fitness among the citizens.
Additionally, Moneris is contributing $35,000 for the enhancement of the Richard Park Walking Trail-Dorchester Playground. With the funds, staff intend to replace the existing swing set, install a new climbing wall, and transition from the rubber fall zone to wood chips.
This investment continues Moneris’ long-term commitment to the area following a 3-year, $30,000 donation to Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation that began in 2021.

These generous contributions will enhance our community facilities and demonstrate the impactful role Moneris plays in enriching the active lifestyle of our residents.”
