Progress on Charles St. and Exciting Developments Ahead!
We’re thrilled to share the latest updates on the Lorne Street Water Mitigation Project, Phase 3. Our team has been working diligently, and we’re seeing fantastic progress as we approach the final stages of this crucial initiative.
Charles St. Paving: Completed!
The paving on Charles St. is now complete! However, for the safety of everyone, the street remains closed to non-local traffic, as heavy equipment operations are still ongoing. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we ensure a safe environment for both the workers and the community.
On Track for Early Completion
Great news! We’re on track to wrap up the project by early December. We’re in the homestretch, and we couldn’t be more excited to reach this milestone. A big thank you to everyone involved for their hard work and dedication.
Safety Installations: Coming Tomorrow
Safety is our top priority. We’re set to install guardrails, gates, and fences this week. These additions are crucial for ensuring the safety and security of the area, both during and after the project’s completion.
Upcoming Trail Closures
Please note that part of the service roads/trail around the Lorne Street retention pond will be closed starting next week. These temporary closures are necessary for the final stages of the project. We’ll be sure to minimize disruptions and reopen these roads as soon as possible.
Access Roads: Opening Soon
Once the project is complete, the service roads will be open for public use. You’ll be able to walk and enjoy these areas freely, experiencing the benefits of the improved infrastructure firsthand.
