Winter Parking Ban in Effect for Sackville
As the winter season approaches, the Municipality of Tantramar reminds residents of the overnight winter parking ban that will be in effect from December 1, 2023, to May 1, 2024. In our efforts to ensure safe and efficient snow removal and ice control, we request the cooperation of all community members during this period.
Parking Restrictions:
- No overnight parking is permitted on any Town street or in Town-owned parking lots between the hours of 1:00 am and 6:00 am.
- The restriction applies throughout the entire winter season, regardless of snow presence.
Why It Matters: The overnight parking ban is a necessary measure to allow our snow removal crews to operate effectively and to keep our streets and sidewalks safe for all users. Clear streets also ensure that emergency services can navigate the town without delays.
Your Role:
- Plan ahead and find alternative parking if you typically park on the street overnight.
- Ensure your vehicle is not obstructing sidewalks or extending out of your driveway.
Our Commitment: The Municipality of Tantramar is committed to providing a safe and navigable environment throughout the winter months. We thank you in advance for your support and understanding, which helps us maintain the safety and accessibility of our streets for drivers and pedestrians alike.
Stay Informed: For any updates or changes to the winter parking regulations, please visit our website or follow our social media channels.
We appreciate your efforts in making this winter a safe one for the Sackville community. If you have any questions or require further information, please contact the By-Law Enforcement Department.
Think Before You Park This Winter – your cooperation is key to a safe and accessible Sackville during the snowy season. Thank you for your support!
