Route 106 Culvert Replacement Project Update

Culvert Replacement Project Update

Date: June 6, 2024

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI) has started the Culvert Replacement Project on the Three Mile Brook Culvert #1 (WS04) which is located on Route 106 in the Municipality of Tantramar this week. Duration for all the partial culvert replacement work will be around five (5) weeks all pending weather and logistics. The new partial culvert replacement will make the road open to one (1) lane of traffic with traffic lights until at such time, the required properties to finalize the project are acquired. During the current full-road closure, motorists will need to continue using the alternate detour route. It is to be noted that when the required properties are acquired, the outstanding section of pipe will be installed, and Route 106 will be open to two (2) lanes of traffic.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure regrets any convenience this may cause and thanks the public for their cooperation.
