Provision of Animal Control Services Request For Proposals Now Open for Submissions

The Municipality of Tantramar is inviting qualified individuals and organizations to submit proposals for Animal Control RFP Advertisement. This contract will begin on January 1, 2025, with an initial term of two years and the potential for two-year extensions based on performance and Council approval.

RFP Overview

The selected proponent will be responsible for providing effective, humane animal control services across Tantramar. The municipality is looking for experienced individuals or companies that can deliver reliable, professional service, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of both animals and residents.

Proposal Submission Requirements

To be considered, all proposals must include the following components:

  1. Cover Letter: A brief introduction and expression of interest in the role.
  2. Experience and Training: A resume or document outlining relevant experience, training, and references.
  3. Vehicle Description: Details or photos of the vehicle(s) that will be used for animal control.
  4. Facilities for Housing Animals: Photos or descriptions of facilities for housing dogs and any other animals as required.
  5. Equipment Listing: A list of any equipment that will be used in providing the service.
  6. Criminal Record Check: A clean criminal record check for all personnel involved in delivering animal control services.
  7. Additional Information: Any other details the proponent believes will aid the Municipality in the decision-making process.

Submission Instructions

  • Deadline: Tuesday, November 26, 2024, by 11:00 a.m.
  • Delivery: Proposals must be dropped in the designated RFP box at the Municipal Office, 31C Main Street, Sackville, NB.

Note: Proposals will be opened in the Council Chambers immediately following the submission deadline; however, the content of submissions will not be discussed at that time. Evaluation will be based on established criteria in the RFP document.

  • The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
  • The award of this RFP is contingent upon final Council approval.
  • Lowest or any RFP is not necessarily accepted.
