The traditional celebration of the coming of Christmas in the Service of Lessons and Carols. Readings of prophets and gospels, mixed with poetry traditional and contemporary, highlight the anticipation of the season and serve as counterpoint to an eclectic mix of Advent and Christmas music offered by the Elliott Chorale under the direction of Dr. Vicki St. Pierre. A joint event with the Department of Music and the Chaplain’s Office, this is an excellent way to begin the Advent season and the countdown to Christmas. Donations to the local food bank are welcome at the door. Open admission – everyone is welcome.
