Artist Talk with Steve Topping

Steve Topping‘s multidisciplinary practice takes into account alternative urban and rural living spaces. He uses found materials to create living areas. This aspect of his work has been shown during La demeure, an event organized by Optica during the fall of 2003. His work has also been shown at L’Hôpital Éphémère (Paris), the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma and Articule (Montréal), Eastern Edge (Saint-John’s Newfoundland), Gallery 44 (Toronto) as well as the Armando Museum (Amersfoort, Holland). Steve Topping lives in Montreal.

Steve Topping: Reading Canada Backwards is on view in the Owens’ picture window from dusk until dawn, 15 November to 15 December 2019.

This special presentation of Reading Canada Backwards and Artist Talk has been organized as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations for the Intercolonial Railway, which arrived in Sackville on 30 November 1869.
