Live Bait Theatre is pleased to present a Salon Reading of scenes from a new play about Chester Cole. The reading of scenes from the play, called “Cole”, will be presented on Friday, May 4 at 6:30 pm at Marshlands Inn. Admission is by donation, and light refreshments will be served. The reading is presented as part of the Bordertown Festival which runs May 2 – 6.
“We’re very excited to be presenting these scenes”, said Cynthia Spurles, Live Bait Board member. “Chester Cole was a speed skating champion who died tragically in 1930. We’re developing a new musical about his life which will be presented during our 30th anniversary season in 2018-2019. This reading will give audience members a sneak peak at what the show will be about.”
The reading will last a maximum of 30 minutes so attendees will be able to get out in time for the David Myles concert which follows as a Bordertown event at 8 pm that evening. Live Bait is also presenting the popular duo Tomato Tomato on May 2 as part of the Bordertown Festival. Seat reservations for the reading of scenes from “Cole” can be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phoning 536-2248. More information on “Cole” and Tomato Tomato is also available at www.livebaittheatre.com
