Make Something Sunday To GoSeptember 27
Make Something Sunday is taking on a new look this fall, while the Owens is temporarily closed to the public. We will be packaging up materials “to go” for activities inspired by works in our permanent collection. Each activity will be accompanied by a short video that will give you an up-close look at an artwork and ideas for something to make in response to it.
Ethel Ogden and Plant Prints in Clay
Let the detailed botanical paintings of Ethel Ogden inspire you to take a closer look at the plants and trees growing around you. Collect leaves and other small nature finds and capture their fine details in air-dry clay.
Kit pick-ups from 21 September
Dive into your kit as soon as you get home, wait for Sunday, or save it for a rainy day—it’s up to you! When you have something to share, tag us at #OwensArtGallery and #MakeSomethingSunday and show us what you’ve made. Search these tags to see what others have made and watch our Instagram stories for highlights.
Make Something Sunday To Go introduces new materials and ways of working through informal, hands-on activities for kids 12 and under and their adults. Our kits are offered free of charge. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sackville.
Make Something Sunday To Go kits will be available for curb-side pick-up from the Owens Art Gallery on a first-come-first-served basis on weekdays between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. Please ring the doorbell at the entrance closest to the turning circle next to the Chapel and stand six feet back from the door. Community masks are mandatory for picking up kits.
