Maker Maker: Mini Zines with Evan Furness and Kevin Melanson
October 25, 2017Join us for our next MAKER MAKER workshop when we’ll be making zines with local zine makers Evan Furness and Kevin Melanson. Learn how to transform a single sheet of paper into a mini book—be it personal, political or purely visual. We’ll have everything on hand that you need to go into zine production including a photocopier.
Evan and Kevin make zines to give away, to trade and to sell at zine and craft fairs. Both are also zine collectors and have been active with the Teeny Tiny Zine Library at Mt A.
Evan is currently in fourth year in Fine Arts at Mount Allison University and Kevin is a recent Mount Allison graduate.
MAKER MAKER is a monthly program of seriously small after-hours art workshops. Led by diverse Maker Mentors, each workshop introduces a pocket-sized art project that can be made in two hours or less. Designed for accomplished and aspiring makers alike, MAKER MAKER is for anyone interested in making small things by hand with friends and fellow makers. This informal workshop series explores how working small can be practical, portable and playful, economical, sharable and even wearable.
MAKER MAKER is free and all materials are provided, no registration required.
