Mount Allison choristers, directed by Dr. Kiera Galway, are joined by the Brogue Saxophone Quartet to perform Gavin Bryars’ “The Fifth Century”. Setting a text by the poet and theologian Thomas Traherne, British composer Gavin Bryars has created a compelling, extended modern work combining the human voice with the vocal timbre of saxophones. Experience this moving, haunting music that won a Grammy Award, performed in the beautiful Mount Allison Chapel.
