MtA Music: Faculty and Guest Recital – Ann Elliott-Goldschmid, violin, and Stephen Runge, piano

November 23, 2019

In the recital “Sonatas and Romances for Two,” violinist Ann Elliott-Goldschmid and pianist Stephen Runge explore the close personal and artistic relationships between Robert Schumann, his wife Clara Schumann, and their protégé Johannes Brahms. Jean Coulthard’s Duo Sonata, written 100 years after the Schumanns’ works, is similarly inspired by a Canadian partnership of love and music.

Tickets for “Sonatas and Romances for Two” are $15 adults/$10 seniors and students. Subscription passes are also available. The concert is free for current MtA students with ID.

A strings master class with violinist Ann Elliott-Goldschmid will also take place in Brunton Auditorium at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, November 19. This event is free of charge; all are welcome to attend.
