MtA Music: Songs and Dances for Wind Band

April 6

“Songs and Dances for Wind Band” presented by the Mount Allison University Symphonic Band will feature five student conductors from the Department of Music — Sung-Ho (David) Kwon, Keelin Howe, Luke Rayworth, Jarred Beckerton, and Bryenton Innes — as well as faculty conductor Dr. Gregory Burton. The concert will take place Friday, April 6 at 7:30 pm in Convocation Hall.

Repertoire on the programme ranges from classic works by Vaughan Williams and Richard Strauss to contemporary works such as Timothy Mahr’s challenging tone poem, When I Close My Eyes, I See Dancers. This is the final performance of the season by the Mount Allison Symphonic Band and is presented free of charge to the public.
