Performers’ Theater Company Presents…..

November 5, 2022

This searing drama is about the public and private indifference to the AIDS plague and one man’s lonely fight to awaken the world to the crisis, The Normal Heart was based on Kramer’s real-life experience and focuses on the rise of the HIVepidemic in New York City between 1981 and 1984, as seen through the eyes of writer/activist Ned Weeks, the  founder of a prominent HIV advocacy group.
Ctitic Liz Smith of the New York Daily News has called the play “An astounding drama . . . and a damning indictment of a nation in the middle of an epidemic with its head in the sand. It will make your hair stand on end even as the tears spurt from your eyes.”
Produced to acclaim in New York, London and Los Angeles, it was named one of the greatest plays of the 20th century by the Royal National Theatre.
