Mount Allison Proudly Presents Re: Turn 2 Community Culture Day’s Re: Turn 2 Sackville

As part of Culture Days Canada’s annual event “culture day”, Mt. Allison University’s Arts and Culture Marketing class will be hosting a range of activities for all ages and members of the Sackville community from 3-8 pm October 19^th. The Culture Days program is a national celebration of arts and culture that invites the public to get directly involved in order to highlight the importance of arts and culture within communities. There will be a mix of both in-person activities and online activities that can be enjoyed from home. Activities include a community art walk, a radio show, a film stream, a collective chalk activity, and a live performance to be enjoyed over Zoom.

Composed of students from both the Commerce program as well as the Arts (including Drama Studies, Music, and Fine Arts), this is the 11th year that the Arts and Culture Marketing Class will be planning and hosting a Culture Day in Sackville. This year’s theme of “Re:Turn 2 Community” emphasizes the need for communities to reunite together having faced the face of the pandemic. Though this year’s conditions mean the event will not be the same as years previous, the class is excited to be able to engage their community in new and exciting ways.
