Sackville Sews Together
December 1, 2022Have a sewing project underway but lack the motivation? Stuck on a technical point and need to troubleshoot? A pile of mending or alterations you’d like to work through? Or do you simply want to nerd-out alongside fellow sewing enthusiasts in a friendly environment? Sackville Sews Together is a monthly drop-in sewing social facilitated by Jeska Grue (she/her), a costume degree graduate with over a decade of experience in garment construction, fitting and pattern drafting.
Taking place the first Thursday of every month (Oct 6, Nov 3, Dec 1) between 6-9 PM at the Sackville Commons Co-op at 18 Lorne Street, participants bring their own project, sewing kit (pins, scissors, etc.) and sewing machine.
Tables, an iron set-up and a serger will be on site for communal use. Knitting and other textile crafts are welcome too!
Open to all skill levels.
Let’s do our favourite hobby together!
