Sitting meditationFebruary 24, 2020
The Sackville Meditation group invites you to join us in our weekly silent meditation on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 – 8:00 pm. We practice meditation in a simple sitting posture, as well as walking meditation. There is no music, chanting or other guidance, however instruction in mindfulness awareness meditation that focuses the attention on the breath is available on request. Tea and conversation is offered afterwards for those who wish. We cultivate “sangha” or a supportive community of practitioners, but we are not affiliated to any particular Buddhist lineage, and some of us are not Buddhist or even religious. All are welcome regardless of your spiritual inclinations. We may form a study group if there is interest, to take place at a different time,, but that hasn’t happened yet.
