Live Theatre!

Featuring Live Bait Theatre’s world premiere of “The Heart That Knows”. a musical adaptation of Sir Charles G.D. Roberts’ famous novel. Performances July 17 – 27.

Festival By The Marsh presents Shakespeare’s classic stage piece “The Tempest” in a beautiful outdoor setting on the Mount Allison University campus.. Performances July 10 – 27.

Sackville will be a centre for some of the best music the region will see in '08 with artists like Chantal Kraviatzuk, Sophie Millman , Denzel Sinclair, Emilie Claire Barlow , Silvio Pupo Montero, Jill Barber,

History!

Celebration of our community's long history of cultural treasures has begun, with the recent book launch of Sir Charles G. D. Roberts and the Tantramar

In April an evening will focus on local "rum running" ... and a major reference work in May on the more than 500 ships built in the region, featuring Sackville's own Christopher Boultenhouse, the most prolific ship builder of them all.

In mid-June, we celebrate the Tantramar's agricultural heritage, with a full-scale "barn-raising"! Check the Tantramar Heritage Trust website for details.

Art!

View Art in the making. Internationally acclaimed artists from around the world will Sculpture Sackville, producing works within the town’s environs, intertwining nature and culture. Throughout the summer artists will work on site with local volunteers to produce groundbreaking works. This collaborative art can be viewed by visitors who follow and explore the Sackville Sculpture Map during the summer and fall.
