Plays in the Park at Beech Hill Park July 14 – 16

The “Sackville Park Players” will present two one-act comedies performed by local community members and students in Beech Hill Park July 14 – 16. “The Romancers”, by Edmond Rostand, is an entertaining spoof based on “Romeo and Juliet”, and “The Bear”, by Anton Chekov, is a comedy of mismatched lovers of major proportions. Performances are at 7 pm on July 14, 15 and 16, and also at 2 pm on July 16.

The Sackville Park Players are a project of the Town of Sackville. The company was founded to perform plays in parks in Sackville and other places, and are part of the vibrant summer arts, culture and hospitality scene in the Town. Cast members for the two plays include Josh MacDougall, Kaylie McGraw, Sue Rose, Marilyn Haugen-Strand, Will Balser, Liam Cole, Rebecca Butler, Ron Kelly Spurles, and Kendrick Haunt.

All performances are pay-what-you-can and are suitable for all ages. Patrons are advised to bring bug spray and portable seating if desired. Rain location is the Middle Sackville Baptist Church, 14 Church St. For more information contact 364-4967 or visitor@sackville.com
