Dorchester’s Special Garbage Pick-up dates will be held on June 1, June 23, October 19,  2023.

Citizens are encouraged to clean up their properties and have their waste materials hauled away at this time.

PLEASE MARK THESE DATES ON YOUR CALENDAR!

RESIDENTS ARE REQUESTED TO HAVE THEIR GARBAGE PLACED AT

CURBSIDE THE DAY BEFORE THEIR REGULAR GARBAGE COLLECTION DAY.  Collection may occur the day after, depending on scheduling.

Items that WILL be picked up in addition to normal household garbage:  bagged leaves, furniture, appliances, tree limbs no longer than 4 feet, neatly tied in bundles (not entire trees) and construction debris, up to 50 kg (placed in a separate pile).

Items that WILL NOT be picked up:  cars and car parts, trees, brush, or Household Hazardous Wastes, or items from apartments greater than 4 units (currently not receiving municipal pick-up).

BLACK GARBAGE BAGS WITH CONTENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
