Created and performed by the Toronto-based Echo Chamber ensemble, “A World Transformed” is a reflection on the hate-crime murder of Matthew Shepard. Contemporary dance, music (voices, piano, violin), and spoken word are used to explore this pivotal story through the lens of Matthew and his mother, Judy Shepard, who remains one of today’s leading voices fighting for 2SLGBTQ+ rights. The program expresses both deep grief and a hopeful belief in the power of individuals to bring about positive change in the world.

This performance is the 14th annual J.E.A. Crake Concert, generously supported by the J.E.A Crake Foundation in partnership with the Mount Allison Performing Arts Series.
